Hockey News
Ryan Spencer (Sixth Year), Jamie Pullen (Class of 2019) and Cian Murphy (Class of 2019) all played for the Irish U18 Hockey team at the European Hockey Championships. In addition, Callum Hewat (Transition Year) and Theo Kohlmann (Fifth Year) played for the Irish U16 team. Katie-Jane Marshall and Iseult Cambay (all Class of 2019) played for the Irish U18 Women’s Hockey Team.
Gillian Pinder (Class of 2011) and Chloe Watkins (Class of 2010) were part of the Irish squad who have progressed to the next round of Olympic qualifiers.
Cricket News
Shauna Kavanagh (Class of 2010), Gaby Lewis (Class of 2019), Louise Little (Transition Year) and Hannah Little (Sixth Year), played on the Irish Women’s Cricket team in the current T20 series. This was Hannah’s debut match for Ireland. Congratulations to Sarah Forbes who has been selected for the U19 Irish Women’s Cricket squad.
Wilhelm De Klerk (Third Year) captained the Irish Under 15 Cricket team in Middlesex and Scotland.
Jamie Forbes (Transition Year) played for the Irish Under 15 Cricket team, the Irish U17 Cricket team and played for the Irish Under 19 Cricket team in the Under 19 World Cup qualifiers in Holland.
Andrew Balbirnie (Class of 2009) scored 55 in the first innings in the test match against England played at Lords Cricket Ground in July.
Rugby News
Jordan Larmour (Class of 2016) and Andrew Porter (Class of 2014) are part of the training squad for the Irish Rugby team in preparation for the 2019 World Cup in Japan.
Well done to James McDonnell (Fifth Year) and Cian Plower-Walsh(Transition Year) who played for a victorious Leinster U17’s team this week.
