We would like to offer big congratulations to past pupils of St Andrew.s College Junior School, Mabel Forsyth and Mary O’Carroll,  who were overall winners of the Zurich Young People Portrait Competition this week. 

Their art work entitled “The New Age”, on which the girls collaborated together, is a photographic piece and is meant to show that most people have both good and bad qualities.

This year was the launch of the competition and the girls' work is now on display in the National Gallery of Ireland, and will also be displayed in Crawford Art Gallery, Cork. 

This is a huge achievement by the girls and we wish them every success in their creative futures.
