Intercultural Week/International Night

With over a quarter of our student body being international, it is extremely important to recognise and celebrate the many cultures we have present in our school.

Intercultural Week has run in the school for three years and involves celebrating the countries of a continent on each day of the week as follows:

  • Asia Day
  • Europe Day
  • Australia Day
  • Africa Day
  • The Americas Day

Students and staff work together to create an atmosphere in the school representing the countries of the continent being celebrated each day. There have been competitions, displays of students’ work, international cuisine, music, and other events during the course of the week to celebrate all the nationalities in our school. Take a look at photos of last year’s events at the school website galleries!

One of the highlights of this festival is the spectacular International Night, which is a long-standing feature of life in St Andrew’s College, giving students, parents and staff the opportunity to promote and celebrate their cultures.

If you would like to discuss Intercultural Week or International Night, please contact Ms Leggett hleggett@st-andrews.ie at the College.

We look forward to seeing you all each November when we pay tribute to the nations of the world and their wonderfully diverse cultural traditions.
