Rian McDonnell (Transition Year) and his partner Nathan, won the UK 29er Youth Nationals Championships on Strangford.  Also competing, and coming in 8th, was Third Year student Sam LeDoux 

The 29er is a relatively new class of boat .  It’s growing unbelievably fast and is the youth boat that leads to the Olympic Class of 49er’s.  Rian is an exceptional sailor who flies around the world to compete for Ireland.
