U19 Girls win to go through to Quarter Finals

Congratulations to the U19 Girls' Basketball Team who played extremely well on Wednesday 18 October with a massive team effort and a huge score of 52 to 34 against travelling team St Anne's Secondary School from Tipperary Town.

Our MVP (most valuable player) for her outstanding contribution was Clodagh O'Brien, the youngest member of the team who  showed maturity beyond her years scoring a massive 23 points.  The team is captained by Niamh Mc Loughlin who did an excellent job keeping the girls in high spirits as the tension got to us in the first quarter.  Well done also to Lauren Mc Sharry who scored her first points in school basketball just as the final buzzer sounded.  It was a huge team effort by all showing great determination to go all the way.

We are now in the Quarter Finals of the Cup (an away game after Half Term) where we will meet either Coláiste Muire, Ennis or St Joseph's Secondary School, Ballybunion.

Well done to the team and to their coach Ms Clarges.
