In November, We Remember

Service of Remembrance

Before school on Friday 24 November we held a Remembrance Service at which we remembered family members, friends, former members of staff and past pupils who have passed away but are in our thoughts.  We heard readings from Mr Potterton, senior and junior school pupils and renditions of  Pie Jesu  by Andrew Lloyd Webber and The Rose were performed by the  Fifth Year Choir and Junior School Choir respectively.

The Gospel was read by Rev. Chris Kennedy after which he reflected on the theme which was "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted".

During the month students and staff had written the names of deceased loved ones  on leaves, placing them in baskets under the Tree of Remembrance outside the library.
