Remembrance Day Assembly

12 November 2018

On Monday 12 November a Remembrance Assembly was held at the College to remember our past pupils who have died fighting in world conflicts.

We particularly remembered the 91 students who laid down their lives in the First World War one hundred years ago.  With music from the Sixth Year music class, readings by Mrs Kirby, Ms Carter and students, the laying of wreaths by the Head Boy Matthew Dowse and Head Girl Alannah Rothwell and Louise O'Brien, President of the  Alumni Association, it was a very moving and dignified ceremony to remember and pay respect to those who paid the ultimate price of war.

They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,

We will remember them.
